Download swype for android 2.3

download swype for android 2.3 I forgot to mention that Swype is in beta. This mns they are still testing it. For you, that mns that you may find bugs but it also mns that for now, you can get a version for free. If something goes wonky and you choose to uninstall it, don’t get too upset with the developers because it’s not totally done yet. Furthermore, rd this page to find out more details about the beta process. Also, if you have a phone that came with an older version of Swype packaged with it, don’t install this one; it won’t work.

All that being said, I have been using Swype (albeit an older version) for quite some time with no problems at all besides just getting used to it.

Side note: you need to be able to install third-party software without using the Android Market. Here’s how to enable it on most Android : Menu –> Settings –> Appliions –> and check the Unknown sources box.

Step One: Register with the Beta program

In order to enter the Beta program and get Swype on your Android phone, you need to first register with the site. If you’ve rd the page with the Beta information on it (linked to above but here’s another link), you’ll notice a button at the bottom labeled register. You’ll just have to fill out some information, including an email address you can access on your phone (you’ll need to click a link and install an installer while on your phone).

Step Two: Click the link in your email

When you receive the email, you’ll need to click the link in the email. After that, the installer package will be downloaded and installed on your phone. Just follow the prompts to install Swype and you shouldn’t have any issues.

If Swype isn’t automatically set up as your default board after installation like it should, just follow the rlier instructions on how to change the input method.
