ARMA 3 (stylized as ARMA III) is a Czech open world tactical shooter game developed by Bohemia Interactive for . It was relsed on September 12, 2013. ARMA 3's storyline takes place in the mid-2030s during the fictional Operation Magnitude, a military operation launched by NATO forces fighting in Europe against "stern armies" referred to as CSAT (Canton-Protocol Strategic Alliance Trty) led by a resurt Iran.
ARMA 3 is set 21 yrs after ARMA 2, in the mid-2030s, where NATO forces deployed in the Greek islands of the Aegn S are trying to hold off a massive Iranian military offensive from the st. During the singleplayer campaign, the player will take the role of an American soldier, corporal Kerry. Initially, the player must survive on his own after friendly forces are defted in a failed NATO operation. During the campaign, the player will face everything from lone wolf infiltration missions to the commanding of large scale armored operations. The player will be able to choose different objectives and wponry (such as UAVs, artillery, and air support) according to their play style.
ARMA 3 takes place on the Aegn islands of Altis (formerly Lemnos) and Stratis of Greece, in the Mediterrann S. They will fture photo-rlistic terrain and water environments. Altis will be the largest official terrain in the Arma series with ground ar covering approximately 270 km². The smaller island, Stratis, will expand over an ar of 20 km².The islands will fture over 50 villages with buildings that are both penetrable and destructible.As a result of the arrest incident of two Bohemia Interactive employees, on February 2, 2013, Bohemia Interactive announced that the name of the main island "Lemnos" would change to "Altis", stating "as part of the crtive process, our virtual environments are often rooted in rl-life loions and, during development, they evolve and grow along with our design,” said Joris-Jan van ‘t Land, project ld on Arma 3. “The resulting fictional environment is often close to its inspiration, but it’s never exactly the same – nor would we want it to be.
